Iberia leads the world in on-time performance with 87.3% of flights arriving on time in January, according to a Cirium report. Despite operational challenges, the airline outperformed its peers globally.

Iberia has kicked off the year with a remarkable achievement, securing the title of the most punctual airline in the world for January, as reported by Cirium, a leading global aviation analytics consultancy. This prestigious recognition is based on the airline's impressive on-time arrival rate of 87.3% across 14,152 flights during the month, a significant accomplishment that sets Iberia apart in the highly competitive aviation industry.

The criteria for the punctuality ranking include airlines that are in the top 10 percent for Available Seat Kilometres (ASKs) globally and operate across at least three regions, ensuring that the comparison encompasses the leading players in the sector. Iberia's performance not only reflects its operational excellence but also the dedication and hard work of its employees, who strive daily to maintain a seamless and efficient service despite challenges.

Rafael Jiménez Hoyos, Iberia's Production Director, expressed immense satisfaction with this achievement, attributing it to the collective effort of the airline's staff to manage the intricate logistics required for timely departures and arrivals.
