Hyatt's Strategic Americas Expansion Boosts Luxury and Lifestyle Growth

News

Hyatt Hotels Corporation keeps growing its portfolio and plans to build over 30 hotels and resorts by 2025 in the Americas.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is strategically expanding its footprint of high-end and lifestyle brands, with a robust development pipeline featuring over 30 planned hotels and resorts in the Americas region by 2025. This expansion includes the introduction of Hyatt brands into previously untapped markets.

Over the past five years, Hyatt has globally doubled its luxury room count, tripled the number of resort rooms, and quadrupled its lifestyle room inventory, maintaining its impressive momentum. Hyatt has now become the fastest-growing luxury portfolio, with luxury, lifestyle, and resort properties comprising over 40% of its overall portfolio, firmly establishing itself as the premier hotel brand for discerning travelers.

Hyatt's transformative growth journey continues through strategic acquisitions, broadening its offerings for guests and members. With the completion of the acquisition of Mr & Mrs Smith, a global travel platform offering direct booking access to a meticulously curated selection of boutique and luxury properties, World of Hyatt members gain access to even more rewarding stays and experiences.

Moreover, following Hyatt's early 2023 acquisition of Dream Hotel Group, a dynamic portfolio featuring lifestyle hotel brands such as Dream Hotels, The Chatwal, The Time New York, and Unscripted Hotels, World of Hyatt members can now explore a wider array of stay options and lifestyle experiences across vibrant destinations like Nashville, Hollywood, South Beach, and New York City.

This acquisition also enables Hyatt to expand its brand presence in Mexico's thriving leisure market with the upcoming Dream Valle de Guadalupe (2024). Nestled on a sprawling 35-acre estate in the Baja California region, this property features a substantial vineyard, 61 guestrooms and villas, a luxurious spa and wellness facility, and three vibrant dining and nightlife venues, including a private tasting room and pool bar.

"The thoughtful growth of Hyatt’s luxury and lifestyle brands reflect the current demand for authentic leisure travel experiences. As we look ahead to 2024 and beyond, we strive to create more opportunities for high-end travelers to reconnect in immersive retreats, explore the hearts of new destinations, and revisit their tried-and-true favorites."
