Hyatt Regency Denver completes $70M renovation

Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center has completed a $70 million renovation, marking a major milestone as the hotel celebrates its 20th anniversary.

 

The transformation includes a full redesign of all 1,100 guestrooms and suites, alongside upgrades to meeting and event spaces aimed at enhancing both business and leisure travel experiences. The project builds on earlier renovations to dining and public areas completed in recent years.

The redesigned rooms feature a residential-inspired concept, incorporating natural materials such as wood and stone, along with modern amenities including USB-C charging, improved lighting and expanded workspaces. The design reflects Denver’s surrounding landscape, with subtle tones and textures inspired by the Rocky Mountains.

The renovation also introduces new event facilities, including an additional meeting space and enhanced connections to existing indoor and outdoor venues. The hotel now offers more than 60,000 square feet of flexible event space, reinforcing its position as a major convention destination.

Sustainability was a key focus of the project, with around 90 percent of furnishings from previous rooms repurposed or recycled. New installations also incorporate recycled materials, including bathroom components made from reused plastic.

The work was completed in 14 months while the hotel remained fully operational, with local partners contributing to the project’s design and execution.

Hotel management said the investment reflects a long-term commitment to improving guest experience while supporting Denver’s role as a key destination for conferences, events and tourism.
