Helsinki Airport Food Court Wins Best Food Court of 2024 Award

Award-Winning Food Court
Helsinki Airport's food court, located in the departure gate area after security control, has been named the Airport Food Hall of the Year 2024 in an international tourism and restaurant industry competition. This award highlights the diversity of the restaurant offerings, exceptional customer satisfaction, and value for money.
Diverse Dining Options
The food court at Helsinki Airport features five unique restaurants: Asian Kitchen, Bastard Burgers, Fafa’s, Pala Pizza Bar, and Tori Kitchen & Cafe. Operated by Select Service Partner Finland (SSP Finland), the food court offers a wide range of culinary experiences to cater to the diverse tastes of travelers.
Recognition and Development
Nora Immonen, Finavia’s Director of Commercial Business at Helsinki Airport, expressed delight at the recognition, stating, "Dining is a significant part of the travel experience for an increasing number of passengers. We are continuously developing the airport’s food and drink selection in line with trends and passenger wishes. Since 2019, the range of restaurants at Helsinki Airport has almost doubled, particularly the selection of hot food."
Prestigious FAB Awards
The international Airport Food and Beverage and Hospitality (FAB Awards) competition is held annually, with winners selected by a jury of experts. The Helsinki Airport food court's win in the "Airport Food Hall of the Year" category marks its second consecutive recognition, following the Food Hall in the arrivals hall winning the same award in 2023.
Continued Excellence
The Food Hall in Finavia’s arrivals hall, which won the FAB award in 2023, includes restaurants such as Levant, Lopez y Lopez, Pretty Boy Wingery, Richie’s Gourmet Hot Dogs, TGM Asian Fusion, and Sake Sushi. "We can now proudly say that both food courts at our airport have received international awards," said Immonen. "This speaks volumes about Helsinki Airport's excellent food offering, which we are constantly developing. I congratulate SSP on their fantastic work and thank them for our shared success in improving the passenger experience."
