Heathrow Expands Network with New Routes for Summer 2026

Airlines & Airports

Heathrow Airport is expanding its global network for the summer 2026 season with a series of new airline routes across Europe, Asia and North America, offering passengers and exporters greater connectivity.

The new services include destinations such as Rome, Seattle, St Louis, Seville, Tivat, Guernsey, Islamabad and Lahore, reflecting continued growth in demand for international travel through the UK’s main aviation hub. Heathrow handled a record 84.5 million passengers in 2025 and recently recorded its busiest February on record.

Among the most notable additions is the launch of the only direct UK service to St Louis in the United States, operated by British Airways from 19 April with four weekly flights. The route will make St Louis Heathrow’s 32nd destination in the US network.

ITA Airways will introduce double daily flights to Rome Fiumicino starting 29 March from Terminal 2, adding capacity to one of Heathrow’s most popular European routes. Meanwhile, Vueling will launch a daily service to Seville from Terminal 4, expanding Heathrow’s connections to Spain.

Pakistan International Airlines will return to Heathrow after a six year absence, resuming flights to Islamabad with three weekly services from 29 March and launching a weekly service to Lahore from 30 March, both operating from Terminal 4.

British Airways is also expanding its European leisure network with new routes to Guernsey and Tivat. Daily flights to Guernsey will begin on 19 April, while a three times weekly service to Tivat in Montenegro will launch on 14 May.

In North America, Alaska Airlines will introduce a new daily service to Seattle from 22 May, operating from Terminal 3. The route will provide connections to more than 100 destinations across the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii.

Heathrow said the new routes highlight airlines’ confidence in the airport as a major international hub and reinforce its position as one of the world’s most connected airports.

The expansion comes as Heathrow continues to push for long term growth, with plans to further increase capacity and improve connectivity for passengers and businesses across the UK.
