
Fraport Sees 4.6% Passenger Growth in July

Fraport AG recorded a 4.6% year-on-year increase in passenger traffic across its network in July 2025, handling a total of 22.9 million travelers. Most of the company’s international airports outperformed its Frankfurt hub, which saw passenger numbers rise by 1.6% to 6.1 million.
European leisure destinations in Greece, Italy, and Spain were in high demand from Frankfurt, while intercontinental routes to Thailand and East Africa also saw strong growth. FRA processed 42,657 takeoffs and landings in July, up 5.3%, with cargo volumes climbing 3.7% to 179,055 metric tons.
Ljubljana Airport in Slovenia reported a 12.2% traffic increase to 181,599 passengers. In Brazil, Fortaleza and Porto Alegre recorded a 96.9% jump to 1.3 million passengers, recovering from severe flooding that had closed Porto Alegre in 2024. Lima Airport in Peru grew by 5.4% to 2.3 million passengers.
Fraport’s 14 Greek airports handled 6.6 million passengers, up 2.4%, while Bulgarian coastal airports Burgas and Varna saw a 4.0% increase to 828,538 travelers. Antalya Airport in Turkey remained stable year-on-year with 5.6 million passengers (-0.4%).
Overall, the data shows continued recovery and expansion across Fraport’s portfolio, with most locations growing faster than its Frankfurt base.
