Flight operations to resume at Berlin Brandenburg Airport on 19 March after strike disruption

News

Flight operations at Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) are set to return to normal on Thursday, 19 March 2026, following a full-day disruption caused by a warning strike.

irport operator Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH (FBB) expects around 80,000 passengers to travel through the airport, with approximately 570 flights scheduled throughout the day.

Airlines have also added 29 extra take-offs and landings to accommodate passengers affected by the strike on 18 March, when no regular passenger flights operated.

The additional services aim to help clear the backlog of disrupted travel and support passengers in reaching their destinations as quickly as possible.

Passengers are advised to check flight information in advance and consult the airport’s website or mobile app for the latest updates and travel guidance.
