A trip to the moon and back is already scheduled for the two space-travel enthusiasts during next year.

As the tourists have already payed a significant amount of their adventure’s total costs (estimated to raise to millions of dollars), they will also be undergoing intensive preparations for the trip around the moon: fitness tests and specific training sessions for the mission.

"Like the Apollo astronauts before them, these individuals will travel into space carrying the hopes and dreams of all humankind, driven by the universal human spirit of exploration," SpaceX representatives commented.

The launch of the space ship aiming to the moon in a week-long trip will take place near Cape Canaveral, Florida. The moment is expected with high interest, as no humans have crossed the low Earth orbit since 1972, when the last Apollo mission ended.

The moon-flight next year will be served by the Falcon Heavy rocket and the Crew Dragon spacecraft holding the two brave travelers. The tests for both ships will begin later this year.

The names of the first two adventurers have not yet been made public, but according to SpaceX, high interest in this kind of travel will guarantee other similar missions in the near future.

"Next year is going to be a big year for carrying people to the space station and hopefully beyond," Elon Musk declared.
