Families of Las Vegas shooting victims can travel for free
According to Southwest Airlines and Allegiant Air representatives, family members of people affected by the incident will benefit free flights.
The offer from Southwest Airlines is valid for up to 5 family members. In addition, the same air-carrier will as well provide free transportation services for the bodies of the victims.
Help will also be extended by Allegiant Air, as more than a dozen people already signed up and accepted the company’s offer.
Moreover, airlines will collaborate with local hotels in order to help accommodate the families.
Headquartered in Las Vegas and Dallas, respectively, Allegiant and Southwest operate hundreds of flights in and from the city, on a daily basis, making Las Vegas a key hub in their service network.
On October 2nd, 59 people were left dead and more than 500 were severely injured after the shooting at an open-air country music festival hosted by the Mandalay Bay hotel, in what is considered to be the deadliest attack in the American history.
