Eurowings launches low-cost flights to Miami

Eurowings expands its low-cost long-haul flights network with new destination: the city of Miami, Florida
As a part of an elaborate expansion strategy, the company added a new destination to its long-distance programme: Miami, a metropolitan city with 5.5 million inhabitants, located in the state of Florida, southeast of the USA.
The glamorous city is notorious for its Cuban influences, colorful art deco buildings, white sand, stunning beaches, luxuriant hotels and crowded nightclubs.
The new three weekly flights will be operated by a premium 310 seats Airbus A330, departing from Cologne Bonn Airport. The flights can be booked each Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
Managing Director Oliver Wagner commented on the latest launch: “Our new long-distance flights to popular destinations such as Thailand, Cuba, Mexico and Mauritius have been working at more than 90 per cent capacity for months. This means that as early as during our start-up year, we were able to confirm our assumption that inexpensive long-distance flights are a promising growth market. Miami is an excellent addition to our new long-distance programme. It complements Eurowings’ extensive net of short- and medium-haul flights in Europe and to neighbouring countries.”
Eurowings is German low-cost airline headquartered in Düsseldorf and owned by the Lufthansa Group, offering low-cost direct connections for more than 130 destinations across Europe and other popular areas of the world.
