Enjoy Lithuania's Beautiful Landscapes and Rejuvenating Spa Services

News

Following the holiday season, Lithuania is inviting tourists to come and embrace its tranquil landscape, while relaxing minds and bodies with one-of-a-kind spa treatments.

Since many people felt the burden of lower financial capabilities and rising inflation rates over the last festive season, Lithuania Travel, the national tourist development authority, emphasised that the country is ready to help visitors relax with the help of its natural landscapes and high-quality leisure services.

“We recognise how many people often feel drained after the holidays, having had to deal with spending money on gifts, preparing for Christmas parties, and rushing to get everything done on time. As such, rest might be the best gift one can give themselves this year,” commented Dovilė Seliukė, Head of Marketing and Communications at Lithuania Travel.

A recent poll by Deloitte indicated that over two-thirds of interviewees expected Christmas expenditures to raise their stress levels last year, with 53% saying it would "cause some tension" and 15% saying it would "produce significant stress."

To lure medical and well-being visitors, Lithuania markets its abundance of natural medicinal resources. Furthermore, the country's spas make use of native plants to help soothe tired visitors back into balance. The use of ancient tree resin in medicinal procedures dates back to at least 2,000 to 1,800 B.C. Such health rituals are now a regular part of life in Druskininkai and Birtonas, two major cities in Lithuania. As a plus, spa treatments in Lithuania's well-known resorts are administered with mineral water derived from local sources and high in sulphates and other precious minerals.

Since the treatments are part of a larger well-being tradition that employs mud baths, saunas, pools, and therapies to attain real relaxation for all guests, the baths here are also filled with a variety of herbs, ranging from comforting lavender to stimulating pine.
