Emirates Airline launches longest non-stop commercial flight
Emirates Airline, the company based in Dubai launches Monday the longest non-stop commercial flight . It is a daily flight between Dubai and Panama City . Each race will last 17 hours and 35 minutes and will be made by Boeing 777 aircrafts that will cover the distance 8 580 miles (13 805 km). Aircraft capacity is 256 passengers.
So far, the longest commercial flight was operated by Australian company Qantas between Sydney and the American city, Dallas. The race used to last 16 hours and 55 minutes and is only 5 km less than the flight of the Emirates.
Last year, Singapore Airlines dropped its non-stop flights from Singapore to New York, a marathon 19 hours a day, in which 10 377 miles were covered (16 700 k ) and were made with Airbus A340-500 with four engines.
