In a significant expansion of its route network, easyJet has today announced the launch of two new services from the UK, making headlines as the first and only UK airline to offer commercial flights to Salerno’s Amalfi Coast airport from London Gatwick. Commencing on 13th July 2024, the new service will operate twice a week, providing UK travelers with unprecedented access to one of Italy’s most picturesque destinations.

This landmark route introduction is part of easyJet’s ambitious growth strategy, marking Salerno’s Amalfi Coast airport as its 157th destination. The airline is set to offer flights from other major cities including Milan, Berlin, Basel, and Geneva to the newly commercialized airport, once exclusive to military use.

The Amalfi Coast, renowned for its stunning landscapes, historical towns, and UNESCO World Heritage status, is expected to attract holidaymakers eager to explore its unique offerings. To complement the launch, easyJet holidays will roll out a selection of package deals to the Amalfi Coast, further enhancing the travel experience with added convenience and value.

In addition to the Amalfi Coast venture, easyJet is revitalizing its route from Newcastle to Amsterdam, set to recommence on 5th September with year-round services every Thursday and Sunday.
