Dubai on top of the family destinations travel list

New survey by travel insurance website InsureMyTrip has rated Dubai as the world’s favourite destination for families, with a score of 7.62 out of 10 possible points.

62 cities were assessed by the study, in terms of attractions, best hotels and beaches, safety, area temperature and more.

“Dubai is fast becoming a family-friendly wonderland, offering access to a variety of theme parks.

“It’s deemed one of the safest cities in the world and is becoming a more affordable destination for families, offering all-inclusive resorts with an array of activities”, quotes new release from InsureMyTrip.

The destination also recently won the Best Global Destination title in the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards.

“It is truly a proud moment for Dubai to be endorsed as the top global destination, reaffirming the decisive yet prudent measures taken by Dubai to safely navigate and accelerate out of this unprecedented global challenge,” commented director general of Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism, Helal Saeed Almarri.

Dubai was followed by Colombo, Turks & Caicos, Barbados, Corfu, Faro, Phuket, Auckland, Rio de Janeiro and Havana. Last on the list was Miami, due to high criminality rate and frequent hurricanes. Cancun was the second-least favourite, followed by Gijon, Shirahma and Sydney.
