Dubai Airports Operations Affected by Airspace Closure

Dubai Airports has confirmed that flight operations at Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) were affected due to a temporary regional airspace closure. The closure led to delays, cancellations and adjusted flight paths for several carriers operating in and out of Dubai.

 

As a result of the airspace restriction, some departing and arriving flights were delayed, and aircraft had to be rerouted or rescheduled to ensure safety and maintain orderly operations. Passengers were advised to check their flight status with airlines for the latest updates.

Dubai Airports said its teams worked closely with airlines and aviation partners to manage the disruption, prioritising passenger care and rebooking assistance where necessary. The authority also implemented contingency plans to minimise the impact on airport operations and maintain safety standards.

Affected travellers were encouraged to stay in contact with their carriers and to allow extra time for travel to and from the airport while flight schedules stabilise.
