Dezeen announces best hotels and spas for 2022
The hospitality sector is back and kicking following the Covid-19 pandemic, as exclusive resorts have been opening their doors for guests all around the world.
Best new hotel and spa designs have been nominated by prestigious architecture and design magazine Dezeen, in anticipation of the 2022 official awards.
Finalists have been selected from more than 5,000 applicants in over 90 countries. Resorts which made the top three offer their services across the US, the UK and China.
The seven best-designed new hospitality and wellness properties this year are: Bath & Barley (Brussels, Belgium), Schwan Locke (Munich, Germany), The Hoxton Poblenou (Barcelona, Spain), Downtown LA Proper Hotel (Los Angeles, California), Casona Sforza (Puerto Escondido, Mexico), Hotel Terrestre (Puerto Escondido, Mexico) and Valle San Nicolás Clubhouse (Valle de Bravo, Mexico).
Readers of the Dezeen magazine are expected to vote for their favourite properties starting September 12.
Winners of the public vote award will be announced in October. This year’s finalists will be honoured during the Dezeen Awards event in November.
