Delta's Plans to Increase Flight Options for China During Winter Season
In the upcoming months of this year, Delta is set to expand its flight itinerary for China, presenting an extended assortment of travel options for globetrotters.
This expansion will encompass a noteworthy augmentation, with the introduction of ten weekly flights to Shanghai-Pudong International Airport (PVG) from the key hubs of Seattle (SEA) and Detroit (DTW). The strategic implementation of this expansion is scheduled to take effect on October 29, initiating a daily flight regimen departing from SEA, while also offering thrice-weekly services departing from DTW. Furthermore, in a strategic move slated for next March, Delta is poised to recommence the operation of its four-times-weekly PVG service, a route that remained dormant since its last operation in February 2020.
Jeff Moomaw, holding the esteemed position of Delta Vice President - Asia Pacific, articulated, “As demand continues to increase and the busy travel season to the Asia-Pacific region commences, the Delta team is ready to welcome even more travelers to the region this winter, providing our award-winning customer service on every journey.”
For travelers selecting Delta as their preferred carrier, an added layer of convenience unfolds, as they will be seamlessly connected to various other cities within China through the well-forged partnership between Delta and China Eastern Airlines. This collaborative synergy between the two carriers engenders an impressive tally of 260 codeshare flights weekly, thereby amplifying the spectrum of travel opportunities for passengers and facilitating a smoother and more harmonious customer experience.
Operational details for these routes include an Airbus A330-900 being assigned to the SEA flight, while both the DTW and LAX flights will be facilitated by an Airbus A350-900.
All of these routes will present a spectrum of four distinct in-flight encounters for passengers to choose from, encompassing the enticing choices of Delta One Suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and the Main Cabin. The Delta One patrons will relish an elevated level of privacy and luxury, with the offering of fully reclining seats designed for optimal comfort.
These accommodations include the indulgence of sumptuous bedding crafted from repurposed materials, alongside artisan-crafted Someone Somewhere amenity kits, chef-crafted culinary offerings, and a host of additional amenities. Travelers who opt for the Delta Premium Select experience are afforded more spacious seating, characterized by broader seats equipped with a deeper recline, adaptable footrests, leg rests, and an elevated dining experience.
For those enticed by this opportunity, flights will be made available for booking on Delta's official website, Delta.com, as well as through the user-friendly Fly Delta app, simplifying the booking process for eager travelers.
