Corinthia Hotels Appoints Simon Casson as New CEO

Simon Casson has been named the new CEO of the luxury hotel group Corinthia Hotels, a subsidiary of the Malta-based Corinthia Group.

Established by the Pisani family in Malta in 1962, the Corinthia Group has evolved into a global entity, investing in, developing, and operating hotels and real estate. Corinthia Hotels boasts a collection of award-winning properties in locations such as London, Budapest, Lisbon, St. Petersburg, and Malta.

Casson is set to commence his role on April 6, leading Corinthia Hotels during a period of expansion, with new openings scheduled in New York, Rome, Bucharest, and Brussels in 2024. The company is also planning to launch additional properties in Doha, Riyadh, Malta, and the Maldives.

Casson brings over 30 years of experience from Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, where he contributed to substantial growth and held the position of EMEA president for seven years. He was instrumental in the launch of new hotels in diverse locations, including London, Athens, Madrid, and the Seychelles, and is known for his advocacy of the importance of spas in the hospitality industry. Casson has participated in major events like the Global Wellness Summit and has hosted spa director panels within Four Seasons.
