Coral Expeditions to launch new itineraries
The company has recently announced new cruise voyages to the “Small Islands of Japan and the Philippines”.
The added itineraries are part of the “Small Islands of the World” series, to be inaugurated in September 2023.
Commercial Director Jeff Gillies declared about the move:
“This is the Japan that most visitors have not seen. Very few local Japanese people have ventured into these hard-to-reach coastal communities of southern Japan, let alone western travellers. These islands are a mix of ancient traditions, unique landscapes and rare wildlife and an area we have long sought to explore.”
The launch will feature 4 different itineraries dedicated to travellers aiming to discover the delightful remote destinations across Japan and the Philippines.
“Journey to Japan” is a 14-night itinerary from Guam to Tokyo, including the Mariana Islands, Tinian, Iwo Jima, Rota, Pagan and Maug islands, Chichijima, Hahajima, Mukujima and Mount Fuji. The cruise is set to depart on September 8, 2023.
“Through the Heart of Japan” will invite guests to experience a unique 14-night voyage starting from Tokyo and heading to Shimizu, Shingu, Kobe, Osaka, Kyoto, Jeju Island, Manjanggul Lava Tube, Fukuoka and the Goto Islands. The journey is scheduled for September 23, 2023.
The 16-night “Through Japan’s Ryukyu Islands” departing October 7, 2023 will sail from Fukuoka to Nagasaki, Okinawa Islands, Suwanosejima, Okinoerabujima, Yakujima, Iriomote Island and will end at Keelung.
“Island Trails of the Philippines” will offer a 16-night itinerary departing from Keelung to the small islands of the Philippines, through the Taroko National Park, Luzon, the Palaui Island, Catanduanes, Cuatro Islas, Marinduque and will finish at Manilla. The cruise ship is set to sail starting October 24, 2023.
