Travel agencies representatives have warned Chinese citizens to avoid crowded areas in France. Moreover, full refunds are being offered to tourists canceling their trips to Nice or southern France.

As the spectacular view of the sea in Nice attracts large numbers of visitors in July, travel agencies in China urge Chinese tourists to avoid major crowded attractions and be cautious when traveling to France. According to the warning, following the arrangements of tour guides should also be a safety priority when visiting different places in Europe.

Despite no report on casualties of Chinese tourists in the Nice attack yesterday, online travel operator Ctrip has already offered free-of-tax cancellation for planned trips to Nice until July 21, and has taken the commitment to assist and adjust itineraries for tour groups who haven't give up on their holidays.

Tongcheng, Elong and Qunar travel agencies have also announced full refunds for tourists changing their minds about visiting southern France.

France used to be the most popular European destination for Chinese visitors. The country's amazing cultural heritage, wine and delicacies cultures were the main reasons why tourists from Asia used to come here in big numbers.

As the terror attack in Paris last year has severely affected France's tourism, the incident in Nice is expected to take a toll on the country's tourism industry which was just slowly on the rise.
