CEO Simone Gibertoni Announces Clinique La Prairie's Plan to Launch Up to 50 New Properties

Spa & Health

Clinique La Prairie plans global expansion with 40 Longevity Hubs, 10 Health Resorts, focusing on wellness, nutrition, and personalized medicine, starting with launches in Anji and Amaala.

Clinique La Prairie (CLP), the renowned Swiss medical wellness brand, is poised for significant growth, as revealed by CEO Simone Gibertoni in an exclusive Spa Business interview. Established in 1931 by Professor Paul Niehans, CLP is built on four key pillars: medical insight, wellness, nutrition, and movement. It offers personalized programs based on DNA testing, featuring its celebrated CLP Extract, Cellular Genomic supplements, and Holistic Health supplements.

As CLP nears its 100th anniversary, it is embarking on a phase of global expansion and innovation. Its main resort is in Montreux, Switzerland, and since 2020, it has been developing urban satellites called Longevity Hubs in cities like Madrid, Bangkok, Doha, Taipei, and most recently Dubai, within the One&Only One Za’abeel.

Gibertoni outlines a long-term vision of establishing approximately 40 Longevity Hubs and 10 Health Resorts, emphasizing the flagship Montreux property as the portfolio's zenith. The first Health Resort is set to open in Anji, China, in 2024, followed by one in Amaala, Saudi Arabia, in 2025. These large-scale projects, like the 1.3-hectare Anji site, will feature extensive accommodations and facilities dedicated to CLP's core areas.

In the meticulous development of these properties, the team focuses on exclusivity and destination selection. Discussions with partners globally have been underway for five years, with Anji emerging as an ideal location, particularly to cater to Asian clientele.

Gibertoni also disclosed plans to expand into the US. This growth aligns with increasing chronic illnesses and the need for preventative medicine, which the Longevity Hubs address through services like health assessments, cryotherapy, and nutraceuticals, making CLP's expertise more accessible internationally.

The upcoming Health Resorts will offer a bridge between the Longevity Hubs and Montreux headquarters, providing similar, though smaller-scale, services in exquisite locations.

Despite these ambitious expansion plans, Gibertoni assures that the essence of CLP, its unique DNA, will remain intact. A dedicated team of 15 specialists across various disciplines ensures that each global outpost reflects CLP's core expertise and experience in every aspect.
