Alaska Airlines to Launch Nonstop Flights to Reykjavík in 2026

Airlines & Airports

Alaska Airlines is expanding its global network with a new nonstop summer route from Seattle to Reykjavík, Iceland, launching May 28, 2026. The airline's latest international destination opens the door to one of Europe’s most scenic gateways, with direct connections to Icelandair’s expansive European network.

The new service will operate daily through September 7 (SEA to KEF) and September 8 (KEF to SEA), using Alaska’s long-range 737-8 MAX aircraft. Tickets are now available at alaskaair.com.

This route marks a milestone in Alaska’s decade-long partnership with Icelandair, now enhanced through a new bilateral codeshare agreement. Passengers can book joint itineraries under a single ticket, enjoy smoother transfers, and connect to more than 35 destinations across Europe via Reykjavík. Elite Alaska guests and First Class passengers will also gain access to Icelandair’s Saga Lounge at Keflavík Airport.

“This new route expands our global footprint and reflects our ongoing investment in premium international travel,” the airline said in its announcement.
