Airbnb Heritage Tour railway adventure seeks for travellers

This summer challenge aims to revive train travel across Europe and is the result of a Airbnb and Interrail partnership, marking the train travel company’s 50th anniversary this year.
Six passengers will have the opportunity to embark in an epic slow travel journey across the continent for 19 days, with stops and overnight stays in key historical destinations.
“We are excited to be offering this epic adventure which celebrates the golden age of 19th century travel, when there was more time to appreciate adventures with friends and family for longer. By combining the very best of train travel with the best of heritage in Europe, we hope travellers will reconnect with history and culture and enjoy travel as it once was,” commented Emmanuel Marill, Airbnb Regional Director, EMEA.
The travellers will be welcomed into five historic homes featured on the Airbnb Heritage Tour, while the trip will cover several areas of Europe offering the best heritage accommodations available on the platform.
Nadine Koszler, Eurail B.V. Head of Marketing, added:
“Timed to coincide with Interrail’s 50th anniversary, the Airbnb Heritage Tour shines a spotlight, not only on the freedom and flexibility offered by travelling with Interrail, but also on the rich heritage that these rail lines provide access to and the chance to go one stop further in connecting with Europe. We clearly see a rising demand for this kind of travel – this year alone, we’ve seen the number of travellers exceed that of 2019 pre-pandemic levels. We’re thrilled to partner with Airbnb and to advocate for the positive impact rail travel can have in the world.”
The exclusive itinerary includes 5 stops in epic locations, as follows: Bath, UK – between August 31 and September 3, Saint-Georges-sur-Cher, France – between September 3 and 6, Sant Pere de Ribes, Spain – between September 6 and 10, Lucca, Italy - September 10-14 and Behren-Lübchin in Germany - September 14 -18.
