A new earthquake occurred in Tokyo
A new earthquake was felt in Tokyo on Wednesday morning, the third occurred in the last four days, without causing casualties or damage, informs France Presse Agency (AFP). With a magnitude of 5 degrees, the earthquake hit the capital and part of eastern Japan on Wednesday at 7:25 local time (London: 8:25 p.m. Tuesday), informed the US Geological Survey (USGS).

The Land of the Rising Sun, Japan, is located at the junction of four tectonic plates and faces more than 20 percent annually of the largest seismic events in the world. Also, this year, in this country, there had occurred in the month of April a series of earthquakes in Kumamoto region (southwest), resulting in 60 deaths.
In the collective memory of the Japanese locals there remains the strong disaster of 11 March 2011, a 9.0 degrees magnitude earthquake with its epicenter in the Tohoku region of the Pacific Ocean, followed by a devastating tsunami in the coastal areas, resulted in 18,500 deaths and a nuclear accident at the nuclear power plant in Fukushima.
