A 56-Days Bus Ride Across Europe
The 56-day voyage, which leaves in August and can accommodate up to 30 people, will offer rides from the biggest city in Turkey through 22 nations, including the Balkans, eastern Europe, Scandinavia, and western Europe, before ending in London. Costing a total of $24,300, the package covers 30 meals (breakfast, lunch, and supper) plus hotel accommodations (on a twin sharing basis)
Some people may not find the idea of spending two months on a bus attractive, but this one is a unique luxury bus intended for a very pleasant long-distance travel. All passengers will have access to reclining seats "with adequate legroom," as well as AUX and USB connections, a folding tray, and bottle and cup storage to make their flight more comfortable. Two "full-size" luggage may be brought on board by each person.
The vehicle is one with exceptional comfort
Inspired in part by the Hippie Trail buses that travelled the globe in the 1950s and 1960s, Bus to London was conceived as a replacement to Adventures Overland's yearly Road to London route, which was scheduled to launch in 2021. The itinerary was supposed to include countries that are now off-limits to foreign tourists, such as Burma, China, and Russia, but it never started operating.
In 2012, businessmen Tushar Agarwal and Sanjay Madan established Adventures Overland. Since then, they have led many convoy trips from India to London, through Iceland, and across Russia before to launching their first transcontinental bus expedition.
Tushar Agarwal stated with the occasion:
“Every single route in each country has been vetted to ensure that the journey is seamless so participants on Bus to London can get on board with the knowledge and confidence that they are in safe hands.
“Providing a niche and classy experience in a secure environment is our top priority. We take charge of documentation, paperwork, visas and permits to ensure that the entire focus of participants is on experiencing the journey.”
The current world record for lengthiest bus route is from Lima, Peru to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a distance of 6,200 kilometres.
The bus that will take passengers to the capital of the United Kingdom is slated to depart Istanbul on August 7 and get to London on October 1.
