Norwegian Cruise Line has opened bookings for its Summer 2028 cruise season, with more than 450 voyages scheduled across 20 ships and 25 homeports.
The programme covers nearly 150 destinations in 51 countries, with itineraries ranging from three to 14 days across Alaska, the Caribbean, Europe, Bermuda and the South Pacific.
NCL said the new deployment has been designed around longer stays ashore, with port calls accounting for almost 80% of voyage days and an average port visit of more than 10 hours.
The Summer 2028 season will also include 175 overnight stays and late departures across 53 destinations.
NCL Summer 2028 Cruises Now Open for Booking
The new season includes departures from major cruise ports including Miami, Seattle, Rome (Civitavecchia) and London (Southampton).
Marc Kazlauskas, President of Norwegian Cruise Line, said:

Great Stirrup Cay Plays Major Role in 2028 Caribbean Programme
NCL is expanding access to its private island destination, Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas, during Summer 2028.
Norwegian Aqua will spend its first full summer season operating three- and four-night roundtrip Bahamas cruises from Miami.
The island experience includes Great Tides Waterpark, which is planned with 19 waterslides, including duelling Master Blaster slides, alongside family play areas and an adults-only Vibe Shore Club.
Norwegian Aura and Prima Expand Caribbean Offering
Norwegian Aura will operate seven-day Eastern Caribbean cruises from Miami, calling at Puerto Plata, St. Thomas, Tortola and Great Stirrup Cay.
The ship will feature Ocean Heights, NCL’s first open-air activities complex, alongside dedicated spaces for children and teenagers.
In the Western Caribbean, Norwegian Prima will return to Galveston for seven-day roundtrip itineraries including Harvest Caye in Belize.
Norwegian Luna will also operate a special 10-day repositioning cruise from Miami to New York City in May 2028, with inaugural calls to Aruba, Curaçao and San Juan.
Norwegian Escape will sail alternating Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries from Port Canaveral.
Norwegian Jewel to Make Morocco Debut
Norwegian Jewel will operate one of its most varied European programmes to date, including a 12-day Canary Islands cruise from Barcelona.
The ship will make its debut in Morocco with calls at Casablanca and Agadir, while also visiting Arrecife in Lanzarote and Santa Cruz de Tenerife for the first time.
More Atlantic Europe and Baltic Cruises
Norwegian Jewel will also operate cruises along the coasts of Spain, France and Portugal, including an 11-day repositioning sailing between Barcelona and Southampton and a new nine-day roundtrip voyage from Southampton.
In the Baltic region, the ship will sail seven-, nine- and 10-day itineraries linking Southampton, Copenhagen and Helsinki, with calls including Tallinn, Riga and Klaipeda.
Norwegian Getaway to Sail Northern Europe During Midnight Sun Season
Norwegian Getaway will operate 10- and 11-day itineraries between Southampton and Reykjavik during the Northern European summer.
The cruises will visit destinations in Norway, Iceland, Belgium, the Netherlands and France.
The ship will also make inaugural calls at Grundarfjörður in Iceland and Vik in Norway, with Vik representing NCL’s first-ever visit to the destination.
Later in the season, Norwegian Getaway will operate Baltic Sea voyages and make its first turnaround in Helsinki.
Norwegian Dawn Adds Zadar and Cagliari
Norwegian Dawn will make its first calls at Zadar in Croatia and Cagliari in Sardinia during Summer 2028.
The ship will operate 10- and 11-day Mediterranean itineraries using different embarkation and disembarkation ports, including Lisbon, Barcelona, Rome and Venice (Ravenna).
The itineraries will include destinations such as Marseille, Salerno, Koper and Kotor, with very few days spent entirely at sea.
NCL Adds More Port Time Across Europe
Norwegian Cruise Line is placing particular emphasis on port-intensive European itineraries during Summer 2028.
Norwegian Viva will operate nine-, 10- and 12-day cruises between Rome, Venice, Barcelona and Istanbul.
These itineraries will include overnight stays in Istanbul and late departures from Santorini, Mykonos and Livorno.
Norwegian Pearl will return with seven-day Greek Isles cruises between Venice and Athens, while Norwegian Epic will operate nine- to 12-day roundtrip itineraries from Rome.
Norwegian Star will again sail through the British Isles and Northern Europe, including calls at Belfast, Newhaven and Invergordon.
Four NCL Ships to Sail Alaska in Summer 2028
NCL’s Alaska season will run from April through October 2028 with Norwegian Encore, Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Joy and Norwegian Jade.
Encore, Bliss and Joy will operate seven-day roundtrip cruises from Seattle, departing on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Every sailing will include glacier viewing, while Norwegian Joy will also offer longer nine- to 11-day itineraries.
Norwegian Jade will operate seven-day cruises between Vancouver and Whittier, with scenic cruising through either Glacier Bay or Hubbard Glacier.
Passengers will also be able to combine cruises with NCL Cruisetours including Denali National Park and the Alaska Railroad.
Norwegian Gem to Make Philadelphia Debut
Norwegian Cruise Line will return to Philadelphia for a fifth consecutive season, with Norwegian Gem making its regional debut in April 2028.
The ship will operate seven-day cruises to Bermuda with overnight stays at Royal Naval Dockyard and additional calls at Norfolk, Virginia.
Norwegian Luna will sail to Bermuda from New York, while Norwegian Breakaway will operate week-long voyages from Boston, including calls at Halifax.
Norwegian Spirit Returns to the South Pacific
Norwegian Spirit will continue operating across the South Pacific from April through October 2028.
The ship will homeport in Sydney, Lautoka, Papeete and Honolulu, operating 11- to 13-day itineraries.
Destinations will include New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji, Samoa, the Cook Islands, French Polynesia and Hawaii.
Ports featured across the programme include Bora Bora, Moorea, Raiatea, Rarotonga, Aitutaki and Apia.
NCL Promotes Early Booking for Summer 2028
Norwegian Cruise Line is encouraging travellers to book early to secure their preferred itineraries and cabin categories.
For a limited period, the cruise line is also offering its End of Summer Sale, with 50% off cruises and up to $750 in onboard credit per stateroom on selected sailings.
The promotion can be combined with NCL’s Free at Sea package, which includes benefits such as open bar, speciality dining, excursion credits and Wi-Fi.
With more than 450 departures, 20 ships and itineraries spanning nearly 150 destinations, NCL’s Summer 2028 deployment represents one of the company’s broadest global cruise programmes currently available for booking.
