United Adds New Nonstop Flights to Croatia, Italy, Scotland, Spain and More for Summer 2026

Airlines & Airports

United Airlines has announced a major international expansion for its Summer 2026 schedule, unveiling nonstop flights to four new European cities: Split (Croatia), Bari (Italy), Glasgow (Scotland), and Santiago de Compostela (Spain). These additions solidify United's position as the U.S. airline with the most transatlantic destinations.

Starting in April and May 2026, United will be the only U.S. airline offering nonstop service from Newark/New York to:

  • Split, Croatia (3x weekly on Boeing 767-300ER, starting April 30)

  • Bari, Italy (4x weekly on Boeing 767-300ER, starting May 1)

  • Glasgow, Scotland (daily on Boeing 737 MAX 8, starting May 8)

  • Santiago de Compostela, Spain (3x weekly on Boeing 737 MAX 8, starting May 27)

United is also launching new international routes:

  • Reykjavik, Iceland from Washington Dulles (daily on Boeing 757-200, starting May 21)

  • Seoul, South Korea from Newark (daily on Boeing 787-9, starting September 4)

  • Tel Aviv, Israel will gain a third Newark flight (Boeing 787-9, starting March 28)

United is already the only U.S. airline flying directly to Dubrovnik, Palermo, and Bilbao, and remains the largest transatlantic carrier with 46 European destinations.

In addition to these new services, United will bring back all nine cities from its record-breaking 2025 expansion, including Nuuk (Greenland), Palermo, Faro, and Madeira.

Patrick Quayle, United's SVP of Global Network Planning, stated: "United has an unmatched international network... and is the clear flag carrier of the U.S."

With more than 850 daily international flights to 150+ destinations, United continues to set the standard for global connectivity in 2026.
