Qatar Airways Launches First Gulf Flights to Venezuela and Colombia
Qatar Airways is making history in the Americas, announcing the launch of flights to Caracas, Venezuela, and Bogotá, Colombia, starting July 22, 2026. The airline becomes the first Gulf carrier ever to serve Venezuela, and the first Middle East airline to operate flights to either Caracas or Bogotá.
The service will operate twice weekly, every Wednesday and Sunday, on a single routing that connects Doha with both cities in one journey. Flight QR783 departs Doha at 07:30, arrives in Bogotá at 16:05, continues to Caracas at 17:35, arriving at 20:40. The return leg departs Caracas at 22:40, landing back in Doha the following day at 19:55.
The schedule has been designed with onward connections in mind. Passengers transiting through Hamad International Airport in Doha will have smooth access to key markets including Australia, China, Japan, South Korea, Lebanon, and the UAE — giving travellers from both Venezuela and Colombia a new gateway to Asia and the Middle East through Qatar Airways' global network.
Caracas and Bogotá become the 15th and 16th destinations Qatar Airways serves in the Americas. The airline first entered South America in 2010 with its inaugural flight to São Paulo, and has been steadily expanding the region ever since.
The announcement comes as Qatar Airways continues rebuilding its global network following a period of disruption, with the airline targeting over 160 destinations this summer.
