LOT Polish Airlines Introduces New 737 MAX 8 Cabin

Airlines & Airports

LOT Polish Airlines has unveiled a new passenger cabin interior for its Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, introducing a design concept inspired by Poland’s natural landscapes and cultural identity. The first aircraft featuring the updated interior entered service on 2 January 2026.

The new cabin draws visual inspiration from the Tatra Mountains and the warm tones of a rising sun, using a palette of deep blues complemented by copper and amber accents. According to the airline, the design is intended to create a calm and welcoming atmosphere, with carefully planned lighting enhancing comfort throughout the journey.

The updated interior continues a visual language already introduced in LOT’s redesigned business lounges in Warsaw and Chicago. The airline says the cabin refresh is part of a broader, long-term strategy to elevate the passenger experience across all touchpoints, including its fleet, airport facilities, and digital platforms.

The cabin was developed in collaboration with Tangerine, a UK-based agency specialising in aircraft interiors and passenger experience design. The project aims to translate LOT’s brand identity and national character into the onboard environment, reflecting Polish craftsmanship, art, and aesthetics.

LOT representatives noted that many passengers associate the airline with Polish values and tradition, particularly on long-haul routes to and from North America. The new interior concept is designed to reinforce this sense of familiarity and connection, allowing travellers to feel at home from the moment they step on board.

The cabin redesign follows several years of incremental updates across the airline’s product offering. LOT’s business lounges, including the Mazurek and Polonez lounges in Warsaw and the recently opened facility at Chicago O’Hare, were created in the same design spirit and have received industry recognition, including awards from the Industrial Design Institute.

Looking ahead, LOT Polish Airlines plans to continue modernising aircraft interiors and related travel spaces, ensuring a consistent brand experience while promoting Polish design and heritage across its network.
