British Airways and Canadian carrier Porter Airlines have announced a codeshare agreement that gives British Airways customers access to 17 domestic Canadian destinations, bookable through ba.com from July 8.
Passengers connecting from British Airways’ London network via Toronto or Montreal can continue on Porter-operated flights to destinations including Ottawa, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Victoria, and St. John’s. British Airways Club members will also be able to earn Avios and tier points when traveling on Porter Airlines flights.
Porter Airlines, headquartered in Toronto, operates to over 40 destinations across North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. The carrier is known for its Elevated Economy product, which includes complimentary drinks served in real glassware, premium snacks, two-by-two seating with no middle seat, and free fast-streaming Wi-Fi.
“This agreement makes travel between London and Canada even easier, offering more options and flexibility,” said Neil Chernoff, Chief Planning and Strategy Officer at British Airways.
Edmond Eldebs, Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Porter Airlines, said the agreement reflects a shared commitment to seamless travel and gives more passengers the opportunity to experience Porter’s elevated service across Canada.
