Norwegian is launching a new direct route between Tromsø in northern Norway and Glasgow, Scotland, starting December 11, 2026, operating twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays through March 22, 2027.
The route opens a direct link between two regions with growing travel interest in each other. For Scottish travelers, it offers straightforward access to Arctic Norway’s winter experiences — the Northern Lights, whale safaris, and snow-covered landscapes. For Norwegian passengers, Glasgow serves as a gateway to one of the UK’s most vibrant cities and a starting point for exploring the Scottish Highlands.
“We see increasing interest among Scottish travelers who want authentic Arctic winter experiences,” said Magnus Thome Maursund, Commercial Director at Norwegian. “Glasgow also offers our Norwegian passengers a lively destination known for its hospitality, music scene, and as a gateway to the spectacular Scottish Highlands.”
The Monday and Friday schedule is well-suited for long weekends and extended stays in both directions. Flight times are as follows:
- Mondays: Tromsø departs 15:10, arrives Glasgow 17:15. Glasgow departs 17:55, arrives Tromsø 21:45.
- Fridays: Tromsø departs 11:10, arrives Glasgow 13:15. Glasgow departs 13:55, arrives Tromsø 17:45.
Tickets are available at norwegian.no and through Norwegian’s other sales channels.
