Jet2 adds Thassos as new Greek destination for Summer 2027
Jet2 has announced Thassos as a brand-new destination for Summer 2027, expanding its Greek portfolio with what is often described as one of the country’s hidden gems.
Known as the “Emerald Isle of the Aegean,” Thassos offers a mix of pine-covered landscapes, traditional villages and sandy beaches, appealing to both families and couples seeking a more authentic Greek experience.
Holiday packages will be available from May 11 to October 1, 2027, with flights operating to Kavala International Airport on mainland Greece. From there, travellers will transfer by ferry to the island before continuing to their resort accommodation.
Jet2 will operate routes from three UK bases: Birmingham, Manchester and London Stansted, with the Stansted service being exclusive to the airline. Manchester will offer twice-weekly departures, while Birmingham and Stansted will operate weekly flights.
The operator has introduced a range of 2 to 5-star accommodation options across seven resorts, including Golden Beach, Limenaria, Potos and Thassos Town, providing a wide choice of holiday styles.
The launch comes in response to strong demand for Greek destinations, with Jet2 continuing to expand its presence in the country. For Summer 2027, the company will operate to 16 Greek airports and offer 27 destinations across Greece.
Thassos joins a growing list of popular locations including Santorini, Rhodes, Crete and Corfu, reinforcing Jet2’s position as one of the leading tour operators for Greek holidays from the UK.
The addition also highlights increasing interest in lesser-known destinations, as travellers look beyond traditional hotspots for more relaxed and authentic holiday experiences.
