Delta One unveils new menus, drinks and amenities for 2027 rollout

Delta One unveils new menus, drinks and amenities for 2027 rollout

Delta Air Lines is refreshing its Delta One experience with redesigned menus, expanded meal pre-order options, new drinks and updated Missoni amenities.

Announced on 14 October, the overhaul will debut on transoceanic Delta One flights departing Los Angeles International Airport this autumn before expanding across the global network in 2027. Individual additions, including new beverage partnerships, will follow separate launch dates.

New menus and more flexible dining

Delta’s culinary team has worked with chef Simon Hulstone and Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson on the new food and beverage programme. Chefs Norio Ueno and Jereme Leung are also contributing regional dishes.

Menu highlights include a Wagyu beef burger with caramelised onions and cheddar, roasted sea bass with tomato tarragon sauce, braised lamb, beef short rib and a seasonal risotto. Lighter options include a chicken Caesar salad, while a chicken salad croissant and hummus with crudités join the mid-flight selection.

The Delta One dessert cart will remain, with updated choices including a sundae served with chocolate sauce, Amarena cherries, pecan praline crumble and a doughnut. A dairy-free sorbet will also be available, with an optional Champagne Taittinger float.

Passengers will have more meal pre-selection options, including gluten-free dishes and lighter meals. Those prioritising sleep can choose to skip the main breakfast service and have coffee and a croissant before landing instead.

Delta is moving the entrée pre-order deadline to 18 hours before departure, giving passengers six additional hours to make their selection.

“Luxury is about having the experience designed around you — today’s premium traveler values choice as much as quality,” said Kristen Manion Taylor, Delta’s Senior Vice President of Brand Experience.

Blanton’s bourbon, Japanese sake and new cocktails

The drinks programme will introduce several additions over the coming months.

Dassai 45 sake launches on all Delta One flights to and from Tokyo-Haneda on 3 November 2026. Blanton’s single-barrel bourbon will follow on 1 December.

Delta is also revising its wine programme, moving from four rotations a year to two. The selection comprises 13 wines from 11 wineries for service between October 2026 and September 2027, including labels from Napa Valley and other wine regions. Champagne Taittinger will also be offered in domestic Delta One.

Alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions of the Hugo Spritz and Paloma will arrive on international routes in March 2027 and domestic routes in April.

Missoni kits and pillows focus on onboard comfort

A new Missoni amenity kit, part of the Winter Elsewhere collection, launches on 3 November. The design includes a wrist strap, with contents including Grown Alchemist skincare, a Marvis dental kit and Missoni-branded comfort items.

Delta will also replace its existing cuddle pillow with a Missoni Mini pillow across transoceanic Delta One services.

Bombas socks are returning through a limited-edition partnership, with complimentary pairs available on selected domestic and international flights departing the United States.

Updated service and an expanded Porsche fleet

The changes extend to how meals are presented. New tableware, side sauces served separately and freshly cracked pepper during the first course are among the service updates.

Delta says more than 200 flight attendants and other team members contributed to development over more than 14 months, including 36 trial flights.

On the ground, the airline plans to expand its Porsche transfer fleet from 40 to 70 hybrid vehicles across 15 airports and hubs by 2028. The service is available to Delta One passengers who book VIP Select.
