ANA Unveils Third Pokémon Jet to Mark 30-Year Partnership Anniversary

All Nippon Airways (ANA) has unveiled the design of its “Blue Pokémon Jet,” the third and final aircraft in a special three-plane series created in collaboration with The Pokémon Company to mark Pokémon’s 30th anniversary.

The Boeing 737-800, registered as JA56AN, features ANA’s signature corporate blue as its base color and showcases Pikachu alongside water-type Pokémon from the original video game series. The aircraft is scheduled to enter service on domestic Japanese routes in December 2026 or later.

Like the other two jets in the series, the Blue Pokémon Jet will offer a fully themed onboard experience. Passengers in domestic Economy Class will find Pokémon headrest covers featuring characters from the aircraft’s exterior design, while limited-edition commemorative cups with the 30th anniversary logo will be available in domestic Economy Class and on international Economy and Premium Economy services.

Custom cocktail napkins featuring the collaboration logo will be offered across Economy, Premium Economy, and Business cabins on international flights.

Alongside the aircraft reveal, ANA has announced a new collaboration with Pokémon GO. Starting July 28, 2026, PokéStops and Gyms will appear at selected airports, with Raid Battles and Timed Research events giving players the chance to encounter Pokémon with Location Background as part of the celebration of the Red Pokémon Jet’s launch.

The partnership between ANA and Pokémon has spanned three decades, with the airline using the collaboration to create themed travel experiences for passengers on both domestic and international routes.
