Aer Lingus Launches Upgraded Mobile App

Aer Lingus has introduced a major update to its mobile app, aiming to deliver a more seamless and intuitive experience for passengers. The multi-million euro upgrade is a key step in the airline’s long-term digital transformation, focused on enhancing every stage of the travel journey.

 

The refreshed app now features real-time flight updates viewable directly on locked screens through Live Activities, wayfinding support in Dublin and New York JFK airports, and a streamlined home screen for faster access to essential information. A completely redesigned My Trips section now acts as a travel assistant, offering simplified access to trip details and extras.

The enhancements have already made a strong impression on users. Ratings have jumped to 4.8 stars on Android and 4.7 on iOS, while app downloads increased by 33% compared to last year. In the past 12 months, over 2.2 million users in Ireland and 3.5 million globally have engaged with the Aer Lingus app.

The update is part of Aer Lingus’ multi-year plan to leverage technology for a simplified and customer-first travel experience. The app is available for download on both iOS and Android.
