Bunkhouse Hotels Launches ‘Vote Y’all’ Campaign to Boost Voter Registration in Austin

Bunkhouse Hotels has launched Vote Y’all, a civic engagement initiative designed to encourage Texans to register to vote ahead of the October 2026 voter registration deadline.

Created in partnership with MOVE Texas, the nonpartisan nonprofit focused on youth civic participation, the campaign will host voter registration events at Austin Motel and Carpenter Hotel, supported by a citywide awareness campaign featuring social media activations, limited-edition merchandise, and outdoor billboards across Austin.

Community Spaces Become Voter Registration Hubs

Beginning in August, Austin residents and visitors can register to vote at weekly events hosted at two Bunkhouse Hotels properties.

The initiative reflects the hospitality group’s longstanding commitment to creating community-focused gathering spaces while making civic participation more accessible.

Erin Lindsey, Regional Vice President of Brand & Marketing at Bunkhouse Hotels & JdV by Hyatt, said:

“We’re thrilled to welcome MOVE Texas back to Bunkhouse Hotels and give our community a welcoming place to register to vote at Austin Motel and Carpenter Hotel. We’ve loved collaborating with MOVE at events over the years, most recently at our 19th Annual Chili Cook-Off, so teaming up again this fall felt like an easy yes.”

Encouraging Civic Participation

Beyond in-person registration events, the campaign includes a dedicated social media initiative and three “Vote Y’all” billboards positioned throughout Austin to encourage voter registration and civic engagement ahead of the general election.

MOVE Texas works to increase political participation among young people and underrepresented communities through voter registration, leadership development, and civic education.
