Roissy airport: Investigators are looking for any mistakes

World Security

The French investigators check the additional security measures implemented at the airport Roissy-Charles de Gaulle to detect if any mistake has slipped, in order to confirm or to deny the hypothesis of a terrorist attack on the EgyptAir aircraft, which collapsed without explanation on the Mediterranean Sea, writes France 24

Following the possible terrorist attacks, 600 of the 86,000 airport employees were asked to give up the security badge because they had a criminal record. Also, authorities found 85 Islamist sympathizers among employees. Other 400 employees are under investigation after they had been reported as prone to radicalization.

But investigators say they have not reached a conclusion on what caused the collapse of the MS804 flight. Also, they have begun to examine the passenger list. An inside source from the investigation declared that it is too early to tell whether any individual has a problematic profile. But that does not mean there is no suspicion.

The army recovered debris from the wreck of MS804 flight, which include human remains, aircraft seats and luggage of passengers. Egyptian authorities have conducted the search operations in the Mediterranean, with support from the French, Greeks and Turks authorities. The US also sent on the island of Sicily a military aircraft to spot a maritime surveillance.

On the board of the Airbus 320 aircraft, built in 2003, were 66 people and their luggage were found scattered in an area of the Mediterranean, along with several scraps of wreckage and human remains.
