Lufthansa Now Offering Apple Watch App

Lufthansa is now offering passengers its innovative app developed especially for the new Apple Watch. The app can be used as a boarding card and it contains all the essential flight information right on your wrist.

It serves as the perfect travel companion, offering passengers all the vital flight information, which can be accessed 24 hours before the flight and during various stages of the journey with Lufthansa.

The new Lufthansa app on the Apple Watch connects via Bluetooth to the one on iPhones and iPads and can now be downloaded for free from the App Store.

 



"Mobile apps are very important and their popularity continues to grow rapidly.

As a top airline, we want to constantly improve on our prime position, not just on board our flights, but also on the ground and in this area of digital services and mobile applications.

"Our plan is to supply the information and services to our customers in real time, at all virtual touch points, thereby improving their travel experience and making everything easier and more comfortable.



"Our passengers will be able to check the most important flight details with the new app, now without having to take their smartphone out of their pockets or bags," explained Jens Bischof, member of the Lufthansa German Airlines Board for product, marketing and sales.

The new Apple Watch app integrates all the flight-related information and displays it for the user to see.

It supplies continuous updates about the status of the flight and shows boarding time, terminal gate and seat number, but also information about the current weather at their destination.

More than 50 per cent of Lufthansa's passengers choose to check in with online or mobile boarding cards.
