The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority has released its official numbers for 2013, when none less than 39.7 million visitors arriving last year, with just 58,802 short of beating the previous record.

If you were to take, for example, the MICE market, record numbers have been registered for meetings and conventions over the last 5 years with as much as approximately 22.000 conventions in 2013 summing a total of 5.1 million attendants.

"We are encouraged to see positive signs of continued growth for Nevada's leading economic engine, particularly in the meetings and convention industry," said Rossi Ralenkotter, CEO of the LVCVA.

"We will continue building on our momentum in the coming year, and we expect to welcome more visitors to Las Vegas than ever before when several much anticipated resorts and attractions debut in 2014."

Las Vegas is known for its great entertainment industry which provides a Las Vegas Stripjob for over 380,000 people who’s professional effort helped build the local economy with 45$ billion in 2013.

What’s new in 2014?

This year we’re expecting new business competitors with a number of openings announced like: The LINQ and High Roller, Delano Las Vegas, SLS Las Vegas, the downtown zipline SlotZilla, and Caesars Entertainment's new resort, The Cromwell.
