Didier Drogba joins Lionel Messi in newest Turkish Airlines advertising campaign  

Turkish Airlines has partnered with football megastars Lionel Messi and Didier Drogba for its newest advertising campaign called 'Widen your World'. The campaign will run press, digital, cinema, TV, outdoor media and social media.

 

The concept of the commercial is that of being 'culturally curious' and dare to explore the idea that food is the main way to explore various cultures. The campaign intends to highlight how important food is in the Turkish Airlines flying experience.

The TV commercial emphasizes how culturally curios the footballers are. Drogba sees a photo of Messi in various restaurants around the world and travelling with Turkish Airlines to discover new places to experience foods that Lionel hasn't been to before.

Lionel Messi has been a global ambassador for Turkish Airlines for three years now. Didider Drogba, the Ivorian striker of Chelsea Football Club, is the newest brand ambassador of the company.

"I feel privileged to be the ambassador of such an important and award-winning brand. I have a unique link with Turkish Airlines from my time living in Istanbul when I was playing for Galatasaray."

Didier Drogba donates all of his money that comes from commercial to The Didier Drogba Foundation that is currently building a hospital in Ivory Coast's administrative center, Abidjan. The hospital is expected to be completed in 2015.

"We pride ourselves on our new partnership and couldn't be happier that Didier is now joining Lionel Messi as part of the Turkish Airlines family," said Temel Kotil, chief executive of Turkish Airlines.

Turkish Airlines flies to 108 countries, to a total of 261 destinations around the world.
