I agree with the safety aspect. more lives are claimed on our roads than in air travel so it is safer to travel by air. One other big down side is the carbon footprint it leaves, but then I suppose if one tool into account the carbon foot print of alternative travel we may find that is not as big as we think.

I’ll miss travelwires Muzi; I understand the struggle to keep the venture afloat with very little resource.
I’m a travel IT professional based in Nigeria and I do visit SA regularly; travelwires was one of my many sources of info on SA travel and tourism. I was hoping you would share some insight on what the new owner plans to do with the site; i.e. will it still be travel related, should we be looking at a name change??
