I first got to know of Josiah through a blog post on HospitalityNet.org and since then I’ve followed his blogs religiously as he has built a rich reputation within the hotel marketing niche. I just love his writing skill (rate him along Darren Rowse from ProBlogger.net ) and has an eye for good branded domain names. All his blogs are free of advertising banners, which is now becoming the norm (Alex Fraiser from Blogussion.com and David Risley from DavidRisley.com are also against banner ads)…
Briefly introduce yourself, age and where are you based?
I’m a twenty-something blogger from San Francisco, California. I run a network of blogs in the hotel industry: everything from design to marketing.
Tell us about your blog, what inspired it and how long have you been blogging?
My main blog, Hotel Marketing Strategies, provides hotel owners and operators 3-5 new ideas each week they can use to attract more guests and keep them happy. My background is in technology and marketing, and I love the hotel industry – so this blog is a good way to combine my interests.
I’ve been blogging since 2002, but Hotel Marketing Strategies was launched in the summer of 2008.
Before blogging what were you doing?
I’ve been blogging for all of my professional career, but I also used to be editor of a newsletter for young entrepreneurs.
