Sure Travel appoints PR Worx to handle their PR account
Sure Travel, South Africa’s largest independent travel agency brand, today announced that they had appointed Johannesburg-based public relations firm, PR Worx as their new public relations company.
“We started this tender process in September in an effort to find the best PR firm that would align not only with our company culture but would be as entrenched in the travel market as we are,” explains Vanya Lessing, CEO of Sure Travel. “Although we received a number of proposals, PR Worx was appointed as we believe that partnering with a company that understands the travel industry is critical. We have a very strong Value Proposition and we want all aspects of that professionally managed.”
Sure Travel was formed in 1979 and is one of South Africa’s most reputable travel groups, with a solid base of 108 leisure and corporate members, who are all shareholders and therefore professionally and commercially committed to the organisation. The Group currently has six key companies and divisions operating under the Sure brand, namely Sure Travel, Sure Corporate Travel Management Services, Sure On-Line, Sure Tours, Sure Tech and Agent Points.
Sure Travel agencies offer the full spectrum of domestic, regional and international travel services in both the corporate and leisure markets.
“We are extremely excited to be working with Sure Travel and look forward to many happy years together,” says Madelain Roscher, Managing Director of PR Worx. “Our Travel and Lifestyle PR division pride themselves on their attention to detail and outstanding service delivery each one of their clients receives. We look forward to assisting Sure Travel with their PR requirements to help grow their Southern Africa travel market share and through targeted awareness campaigns to increase their 2008 turnover which is currently in excess of R2 billion.”
Over the years, PR Worx has enjoyed marked successes with various travel related clients including, British Airways, BA Comair, kulula.com, Qatar Airways, 1time Airline, City Lodge Group, Tinga Private Game Lodge and the Association of South African Travel Agents (ASATA) to name but a few.
