Hany Ahmed joins Hilton Sandton as Director of Business Development

The Hilton Hotel in Sandton today announced that Hany Ahmed has been appointed as the Director of Business Development for the hotel.

Hany will be responsible for the hotels business strategy and management for various departments including sales, marketing, revenue, events and reservations. His role within these departments is to design the hotels business strategy, participate in key management issues, support the director of operations by providing key advise and up selling training skills and take responsibility for revenue initiatives.

“Hany has a wealth of experience in the hotel industry having worked for other large hotel groups around the world since 1998,” said Axel Hauser, General Manager of the Hilton Sandton. “We are confident in his abilities to take our hotel to the next level as his knowledge of the hotel industry spans over more than ten years,” continues Hauser.

Born in Egypt and living in South Africa, Hany joins the team at the Hilton Sandton from the Middle East where he worked as the area director of revenue management for the Starwood Hotel Group for the Gulf, KSA, Yemen, Pakistan, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon.
