Southern Spoor Marketing is pleased to announce the appointment of Rare Earth Retreats into our ever-expanding portfolio of upmarket establishments. The addition of Rare Earth Retreats to Southern Spoor’s portfolio increases the hospitality marketing company’s presence to 34 hotels, lodges and guest houses across Africa and is an excellent complement to the growing portfolio.

Rare Earth Retreats is the proud flagship of a portfolio of African sanctuaries that prides itself on exceeding guest expectations. Rare Earth Retreats has enlisted the services of Southern Spoor for three of its properties: Ekhuthuleni Lodge, The Outpost, and Tshwene Lodge.

Ekuthuleni Lodge, a place of peace, is a luxury five-star lodge that has sweeping views of the savannah plains and is home to the big five. Ekuthuleni has five suites that offer intimacy and privacy, with magnificent views of the grasslands, giving a whole new meaning to nature on your doorstep. The romantic bathrooms open onto a private courtyard and have both indoor and outdoor showers. The five strategically-located suites all offer exhilarating views of the valleys below and the hills beyond, which can be enjoyed from private decks, offering an inimitable safari experience. The double rooms have en-suite bathrooms and private outdoor showers for an invigorating end to your day.

The land is a concession awarded to The Outpost as a result of a ground-breaking agreement between the Makuleke community and the South African National Parks Board. The lodge’s contemporary design blends seamlessly with its age-old natural surroundings, preserving the wilderness that is its home. The Outpost comprises one large main building and twelve stand-alone living Spaces set against the side of a hill overlooking the Luvuvhu River, all connected by a half kilometre long walkway made of Zimbabwean teak.
