Hi, am Muzi Mohale from Travelwires.com and who are you?
This exercise is meant to offer you an opportunity to introduce yourself and your tourism business to the Travelwires.com community. As many of you will know by now, I’m the blogger, administrator, accounting clerk, basically everything about Travelwires.com is my responsibility.
There are a handful of the readers I know, especially those that send me emails and comment on posts published. However this is not enough, I need to know who the majority of my readers are, what attracts them to Travelwires.com and what would you like added or removed to make your browsing experience complete?
A typical example, on how to introduce yourself:
I’m Muzi Mohale, based in Roodepoort (South Africa). Blogger with www.travelwires.com and can be connected on social media sites twitter: travelwires and facebook: travelwires. Love Travelwires.com since I get to travel our beautiful country through blogging and get first hand tourism experience. My wish is to get more tourism products using the freely available online resources such as booking engines, social media and to have properly designed websites that will result in improved bookings.

Hi, I’m not a product owner or service provider but I lecture at University of Pretoria (Dept Tourism Management). As my field of interest is destination marketing, Travelwires provides excellent current info on the industry and great material for student discussions. Thanks for that.
Appreciate the compliment Elizabeth and I welcome guest posts from your tourism students.
Hie, i am Nkosilathi Moyo.I am a front office officer at a leading Cape Town Boutique Hotel. My main interests is in marketing and communications strategy for the hotel and tourism industry. I have an honours in hospitality and tourism from Chinhoyi University of technology. My interests on travel wires are mainly to do with marketing strategy as well as destinations management strategies in addition to arising trends in the business.
Having seen Elizabeth’s post above and your response to it, i believe this blog has potential to provide more insight to students as well as it provides an enlightened source of information which opens them up to the realities prevalent in the industry.
I have also found a lot of the interviews that you have carried out with industry leaders quite helpful as far as shaping careers is concerned and it will be awesome if we had more dosage in that regard in addition to increasing the blog presence such that it is available to those that are still disillusioned as to what career paths they would like to take up. I believe career guidance should feature prominently too.
To close, this is a great site. I looove it
@Nkosilathi Moyo, Am glad that you find value with interviews and will ensure they return.
Hello Muzi, I stumbled upon your website today whilst doing press research. I am a tourism consultant, based in the UK and am working for Cape Town Tourism as the new UK press and trade representative.
There are an increasing number of websites, networking sites, blogs etc on the World Cup, tourism to and within South Africa and associated opportuntites, but it is becoming a full-time job knowing which ones to support. I will be keeping an eye on your site.
Appreciate the intro Mary and congrats on being appointed Cape Town Tourism UK’s representative, am always impressed with their proactive nature of conducting business. How I wish other tourism authorities could adopt that attitude in marketing tourism in their respective provinces.
