City Lodge awards staff and hotels at annual executive conference

The JSE-listed City Lodge Hotels group presented eight special awards to managers, staff and hotels at its annual executive conference which was this year held in Polokwane in early October.

The awards reflect a wide range of accomplishments and achievements by individual and hotels throughout the past year.

Award winners were as follows:

• Hotelier of the Year – Glenn Pappin, General Manager, City Lodge Port Elizabeth
• Chairman’s Award (which enables the winner to further their studies in the hospitality industry) – Clive Hadebe, assistant manager, Road Lodge Carnival City
• People Caring for People Award – Anton Rademeyer, Manager , Road Lodge Carnival City
• TLC (Tip-top Loving and Clean) Award – City Lodge Bryanston
• Business Driver of the Year Award – Morne Bester, General Manager, Town Lodge Midrand
• NQ Assessor / Facilitator of the Year Award – Ian Whitmore, junior assistant manager, Town Lodge Johannesburg Airport
• NQ Site of the Year Award -  Town Lodge Polokwane
• Gotcha Cup Award – Town Lodge Nelspruit
