African Sun bags Royal Chundu Zambezi River Lodge management contract

African Sun Limited recognised as the fastest growing hospitality group in sub-Saharan Africa, is committed to managing a portfolio of the finest hotels, lodges and resorts in Africa’s prime destinations.  In keeping with this philosophy, this pioneering hotel group has recently acquired the Royal Chundu Zambezi River Lodge, which not only launches their presence into Zambia, but also introduces the first 5* luxury lodge to their discerning guest profile.  Not that they are in unfamiliar territory, as they are already well known for their luxury offerings at both The Grace in Rosebank in Johannesburg, as well as the renowned Victoria Falls Hotel.

Situated on the Livingstone side of ‘the Falls’, at the junction of Zambia, Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe, this boutique Lodge has the unique ability to offer both mainland and private island  accommodation right in the middle of the mighty Zambezi River.  Comprising of a total of 14 rooms, described as Mainland or Island Suite Lodges, it has been carefully structured so as to take advantage of year-round reservations in what is certainly regarded as one of Southern Africa’s most booming tourism regions. Royal Chundu Zambezi River Lodge is expected to open its doors on the 15th November 2009 after refurbishments.
