Oscar, hightailing it to the David Livingston Lodge & Spa
The David Livingstone Safari Lodge and Spa in Zambia, was recently visited by a very special and rather unusual ‘guest’, Oscar. Once a homeless dog from Grassy Park SPCA in Cape Town, Oscar and his adopted mom Joanne Lefson are traveling the world on his ‘World Woof Tour’. Oscars ‘woof itinerary’ sees him visiting 60 dog welfare centers located in 33 countries on five continents, with the sole objective of raising awareness and funds for 475 million dogs without homes.
The David Livingstone Lodge and Spa was Oscar’s 4th tour-stop and saw him participating in adventures including micro lite flight over the beautiful Victoria Falls, a ‘very quick’ swim in the mighty Zambezi, and last, but no means least, a visit to the Ndola Animal Welfare Sanctuary. A cameraman has been filming all of Oscar’s travels and adventures and will continue to do so throughout his tour; the ‘WoofTour’ videos can be found on YouTube or their website www.worldwooftour.com, where Oscar blogs about his travels each day.
