Jock Safari Lodge, a private concession in the heart of the Kruger National Park was recently honoured with the Concession Partner of the Year at this years’ 2009 Kudu Awards at a ‘Green Tie Event’ hosted by South African National Parks at Gallagher Estate in Johannesburg. It’s the second time that Jock Safari Lodge has been awarded a Kudu Award, as in 2007, Jock was awarded with the Business Partner of the Year award.
The Kudu Awards, running for the fifth year, recognise external stakeholders for their contributions and efforts to conservation as well their assistance in making SANParks a premier conservation agency in South Africa.
Adrian Gardiner, Chairman of the Mantis group says, ‘We are delighted that our premier lodge Jock was honoured with this award, and feel that it is a true recognition of our teams and management’s hard work and dedication towards the reduction of carbon footprint within the Kruger National Park and importance of eco-tourism in South Africa. The awards demonstrate the value and importance of an environmentally & ecologically aware product, and we are fully committed to continuing our developments in this manner.’
Jock Safari Lodge is situated in the southern area of the Kruger National Park at the confluence of the Mitomeni and Biyamiti rivers, half way between Skukuza and Kruger International Airports.
